How to remove vocals from a song on Mac

On macOS, VocalSplit runs in any browser and produces cleaner stems than Audacity, GarageBand or Logic's own built-in stem splitter. No install, no plugins.

The stems come back as 24-bit WAV, which Logic, GarageBand, Ableton Live, Reaper, Pro Tools and every other Mac DAW imports without conversion.

Step-by-step

  1. Open vocalsplit.io in Safari, Chrome or Arc. All modern Mac browsers work. Apple Silicon and Intel Macs both supported.
  2. Drag an audio file onto the upload area. From Finder, a DAW export, iTunes library or anywhere else. Up to 100 MB.
  3. Pay with Apple Pay. Touch ID on Mac confirms the purchase without typing.
  4. Wait about 15 seconds. The separator runs on a GPU in the cloud — your Mac does no heavy lifting.
  5. Download the zip. Open the stems directly in Logic, GarageBand, or any other DAW. Both files are 24-bit WAV.
