VocalSplit ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using vocalsplit.io, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service:

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address. Authentication is powered by Supabase.
Payment information. Purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe may collect your card details, billing name, and country. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Audio files. Files you upload for processing are stored temporarily to run the AI separation job. They are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours of upload.
Usage data. We may log IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and performance purposes.
Cookies. We use essential cookies for session management. With your consent, we may use Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can decline analytics cookies via our cookie banner.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To process payments and deliver purchased credits
To run the vocal separation job on files you upload
To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
To monitor for abuse, fraud, or security threats
To improve the service using aggregated, anonymized analytics

3. Audio File Handling

      Audio files you upload are used solely to run the separation job. They are automatically deleted within 24 hours and are never reviewed by humans, shared with third parties, or used to train AI models.
    

Processed output files (vocals and instrumental stems) are made available for download for the same 24-hour window, after which they are also deleted.

4. Payments and Stripe

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, you enter your payment details directly into Stripe's secure checkout. VocalSplit stores only your Stripe customer ID and a record of credit transactions — never raw card data.

Credits purchased are tied to your account and never expire. Stripe may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share data only with the following service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service:

Supabase — authentication and database (EU/US infrastructure)
Stripe — payment processing
Google Analytics — aggregate, anonymized usage analytics (only if you consent)
Modal — cloud compute for running AI processing jobs

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VocalSplit, our users, or others.

6. Data Retention

Audio files: deleted within 24 hours of upload
Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
Transaction records: retained for up to 7 years as required for accounting and legal compliance

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@vocalsplit.io. We will respond within 30 days.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings, which will trigger removal of your personal data within 30 days.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to secure your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies without your consent.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics will collect anonymized data about pages viewed and time spent on site. You can opt out at any time by adjusting your browser settings or using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption in transit, secure credential storage via Supabase, and row-level security on all user data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

10. Children's Privacy

VocalSplit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
