How-to guide
How to remove vocals from a song on Android
On Android, vocalsplit.io runs entirely in the browser. No apps, no in-app purchases, no Play Store permissions — just a regular webpage that happens to do GPU-accelerated vocal separation.
Stems download as a zip into your Downloads folder. Most Android file managers let you unzip in place and play the WAV files directly.
Step-by-step
- Open vocalsplit.io in Chrome. Works on any Android 10 or later with Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
- Upload an audio file. From Files, Google Drive, Downloads, or any app that can share an audio file to Chrome.
- Pay with Google Pay. Stripe Google Pay is enabled — tap through in a few seconds without typing a card number.
- Wait for the split. About 15 seconds for MP3, 20–30 for lossless formats.
- Download the stems. The zip lands in your Downloads folder. Unzip and open the WAV files in your preferred audio app.
Tips for better results
- FL Studio Mobile and BandLab both import the WAV stems directly for production on the phone.
- If the download is blocked, check Chrome's per-site permissions for downloads.
- Samsung and Pixel devices both handle WAV playback natively without extra apps.
